ドラゴンドラ - DRAGONDOLA - Naeba Tashito Mountain Air Trip
Japan’s longest gondola lift is located in the Naeba Highlands,
where the Naeba Prince Hotel is also located,
and connects from there all the way
to the wide summit of the Tashiro Highlands.
You will be amazed while riding
as you feel the thrill and power of the gondola lift
as it travels the roughly 5.5 km distance,
ascending and descending repeatedly
with a roughly 425 m altitude difference.
Origin of the Name
Due to the gondola lift lines moving up and down,
resembling the back of a dragon,
and inspired by the concept of a monster-sized gondola,
we decided to name this dragon gondola “Dragondola.”
The construction of the gondola began in 1999
and was completed in 2001.
